Assembly or Production Technician
Ubiq Aerospace is an ambitious tech startup based in Trondheim. Our focus so far has been to create a fully integrated electro-thermal ice protection system – purpose-built for uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) and the aircraft of tomorrow. This is just the beginning of our story, but things are really starting to happen.
We are looking to strengthen our team with one or more hands-on Technicians who enjoy building, assembling, and testing products and prototypes in a workshop and laboratory environment.
Depending on your main skills and competences, you will be an integrated part of our Electrical or Mechanical team and work closely with our engineers and other technicians. You will play a key role in bringing designs from concept to physical reality.
Responsibilities
Assemble and build mechanical and/or electrical prototypes and test articles
Perform machining, fitting, and assembly work
Support submodule testing and test setup
Build and modify fixtures, jigs, and test equipment
Collaborate closely with engineers and provide practical input
Maintain workshop tools, machines, and equipment
Example of other responsibility areas based on your background
Post-processing of composite materials, e.g. demoulding, sanding, painting, surface finish
Machining and building of mechanical parts for prototyping
Support prototyping or small-series production of e.g., in soldering, wire harnesses, conformal coating and other production quality assurance.
Background & Experience
Fagbrev in a mechanical discipline, electrical discipline or equivalent practical experience
Strong hands-on skills
Comfortable working from technical drawings / schematics
Experience from workshop, production, or R&D environments is an advantage
Experience with composites is helpful, but not required
